I wish there were a way to know that you're in the good old days while you're still living them. Is that from something? Definitely. But the sentiment is universal. Sometimes you'll look back on something and realize that it was a really good era in your life, but you rarely realize it in the moment. This is because we tend to focus on the negative. We tend to harp on the stuff that is going wrong, instead of the stuff that is going right. But every now and then, we should zoom out to remind ourselves of all the good things in our lives. All the things we're grateful for.

Come to think of it, it's a great time of year to do that. There is a whole holiday built around that this week.
